Conditioning drills for different grades

As part of our Sylabus we have a mandatory conditioning drill for each belt grade.

I have filmed af few of them as reference for our students.

The drills are part of our daily conditioning work as well as a part of the belt test.

How do you test condition at your gradings.

The explanations are in Danish but I think it is pretty self explanatory.

Thanks for sharing these. I think conditions tests are always important, not just for the test of physical fitness, but because also aggression, resolve and the ability to override discomfort. Additionally, because we are martial artists, I believe these tests should be martial arts specific. Running and calisthenics have their place, but it is better to have a specific test such as the ones shown.

I’m that used to hearing you speak English that I momentarily thought “Wow! His Danish is really good!”. Conclusive proof that I am therefore a monolingual moron! :-)

All the best,

Iain
