Does anyone own the jacket with arms for a Century Bob dummy - Any good?

I have the opportunity to get one of these for my Century Bob. The main reason is for practice of arm manipulations and locks when practicing alone. Does anyone already have the jacket and can they comment on how useful and durable they are?

I just put a standard gi on mine. Holding the sleeves and lapel are great for certain striking drills. I link you’d need a real limb for worthwhile joint lock practise.

All the best,

Iain

Thanks Iain,

By that I presume you mean that you haven't stuffed the arms of the gi with anything and that you just use it as something to grab hold of?

That’s right. Just an empty sleeve. I also tie an old belt around my punchbag from time to time. The hanging bits can replicate pulling on the arms. The bit ties around the bag can be gripped to simulate grabbing the clothing. Personally, I do all of the preceding stuff to add a grabbing element to impact work when solo-training. You can work joint locks in a fashion though, as Wim Demeere shows below.

All the best,

Iain
