Restrictions in Nova Scotia are starting to loosen up so my friend came over to for a workout. This is one of the pad drills we worked on. I first saw it on Iain's social media last year. I really liked it so I included it in my 5th kyu sylabus. It's very dynamic in that it teaches how to deal with a failed kick and a sudden change in range. Also it makes use of punches from three different angles, a reverse punch, hook and and uppercut. The pad holder needs to close range as soon as the kick finishes. It's fun and feels great. Try this when you get a chance. You'll love it! I have included this drill in my 5th kyu syllabus.
