Tekki Nidan Gyaku Waza for Rear Bear Hug

This impromptu video utilizes an arm drag from a clinch transition to take the back in an over-arms rear bear hug. From there, the opening movement of Tekki Nidan is used to escape with a throw. This throw can be found in judo, jiu jutsu and other arts. I learned the throw in judo and did it as a gyaku waza for the bear hug in a Koryu Ucinadi seminar with Hanchi Patrick McCarthy. I also practiced it as a SD technique in jiu jutsu. I added the clinch transition to the drill as a means to practice getting the bear hug.
