On Sunday 18th of November 2018 I will be teaching a seminar in Blairgowrie, Scotland! At this seminar we will cover the core concepts of practical karate that apply to all karateka; irrespective of style. To look at these concepts we will compare and contrast the five Pinan/Heian kata (created by Anko Itosu to be a summary of the Shuri-te line) with the two Gekisai kata (created by Chojun Miyagi to be a to be a summary of the Naha-te line). This will be a great opportunity to learn something new and to increase your understanding of the already familiar. Prior knowledge of either set of kata is not required.

The seminar will run from 1pm to 5pm and the location will be Blairgowrie Community Campus, Elm Drive, Blairgowrie, PH10 6UZ.  Please contact Karen Whytock (Blairgowrie & Coupar Angus Shotokan Karate Club) for more details and to confirm places via blairkarate@hotmail.co.uk or 01250 870061.  Cost of the seminar will be £25 with a £10 deposit to secure your place with the remainder payable before or on the day of the seminar. Please contact Karen to confirm places before the event. To pay deposit & balance make use of  https://www.paypal.me/KarenWhytock. Will accept balance payments on the day.
