Hi All,
Just a very quick note - as I'm frantically busy approving memberships :-) – that this is fantastic! The number of accounts we have set up in the last day or so is simply amazing! The visitor rate is also great.
The forum has got off to a great start too! The original forum was awesome and I really want this one to be every bit as good, if not better, a source of good quality information for the 1000s of visitors we get each day. The opening posts are of really good quality and I can’t thank you all enough.
Seriously, this is great! I really am humbled by the...

Hi All,
Just a quick note to let you know that a new dedicated karate association is soon to be launched in the UK. Chief Instructors will be Peter Consterdine & Geoff Thompson, with myself (and a number of others who will be well known to you) in the role of senior coach, grading officer and member of the technical committee.
The group will be called “The British Combat Karate Association” and it intends to be affiliated to both the English Karate Federation and the Scottish Karate Governing Body.

Hi All,
As you can see, the new website is live!
To get the best out of the site, you should join up as that will enable you to post on the forum and message each other individually and in groups!
NOTE: Your existing user name and password for the old forum will not work and you need to set up a new account. Helen and I will be sure to approve all new accounts as quickly as we can, but please be patient as we will have thousands of them to do over the next few days! If you applied for membership while the site was being built, and you have not had an email confirming activation, you...

Photo 1: Kris Wilder quietly blends into the background of the group photo at the end of Seattle day 2.
Photo 2: Kris Wilder, Marc “Animal” MacYoung, Rory Miller, Nicholas Yang, Al Peasland, Iain Abernethy. Not sure why all the American’s stood up and the Brits sat down?!?
Photo 3: Iain and Al pull a “serious face” to avoid looking overly enthusiastic when handling guns and end up looking rather odd! Seconds earlier Rory had commented that Brits with guns were like teenage boys with a copy of playboy! Note how the guns are unloaded, open and our...

Welcome to the latest Extreme Impact drill! This drill is from the forthcoming “Extreme Impact Unit 8: Confusion Drills” (to be released in Sept 2010). Confusion drills are ones that mess with the mind and body by never allowing you to “find your groove”. The drills involve variations in tempo, intensity and impact to keep you constantly outside of your comfort zone! I hope you “enjoy” making use of this drill in your training and teaching. We will be back with more samples and exclusive drills soon!
All the best,
Iain
