What: Flow drills for the kata Kushanku / Kanku-Dai and Seipai!

On Saturday 28th November 2020 I will be teaching in Exeter! The seminar will be covering the drills and applications for Naihanchi / Tekki Shodan! We will explore how the kata represents a holistic combative system. The seminar will run from 11am-3pm at University of Exeter Sports Park, Stocker Road, Exeter, EX4 4QN (food outlets and facilities are available on campus). The price will be £35 per person (£5 off for University Students).

On Sunday the 31st of January I will be teaching in Kidlington! The seminar is open to all and the theme will be the practical application of the Pinan / Heian series! Created by Anko Itosu in the late 1800s, the Pinan / Heian series are without a doubt the world’s most widely practised set of kata. Gichin Funakoshi wrote that “Once you master these five kata, you can be confident in your ability to protect yourself in most situations”. This kata series is therefore intended to be a holistic physical self-protection system … as Iain will show!
