Kake Dachi in Pinan Yondan

Hi all

Our take on the sequence Shuto ganmen uchi, kake dachi, uraken. In this case kake dachi is a not fixed position but a sweep, and uraken is used as a penetrating forward elbow strike. As our beginnings were in Kyokushin and our Pinan are bit different to most Okinawan I thought it might be interesting to compare them below is our clip.

Thanks for sharing, Les! We use the legs crossing as an indicator of your leg crossing your opponent's for a throw in some of our applications, as well, although the specific example you show here isn't one we have used for Pinan Yondan before. Interestingly, the beginning of this looks somewhat reminiscent of Goju-Ryu's Seipai, to me

I do use cross legs as a throw too, yes it dose looks and feels bit like Seipai :)
