Applications for inward block

In the following clip you can see three different applications for inward block. It is rare to see a Taekwondo master demonstrating applications beyond "block" so I thought I should share it so people can see his effort. The clip is well made/produced.

I like the last one, I'm not keen on the first two though as the non 'blocking' hand is doing nothing.

Excellent. But I didn't see any claim to taekwondo. Just Korean. That would include tang soo do. We get taught to think of blocks as strikes and potentially other things too.

I'm a fan of using both hands as much as possible too. Stays closer to the form that way. But it was a well produced clip, and much needed in the KMA community as applications is often sadly lacking. 8m happy that he's spreading the word :-)

He did not make any claim of taekwondo, it's just that I know him, and I know his primary study is taekwondo:-) the technique appears in many martial arts. The reason why I highlighted the taekwondo part is that one does not often see a Taekwondo person (or KMA person for that matter) present applications that go beyond the textbook applications :-)

Henrik just made another video, this time focusing on bakkat makki (outward block). Again he demonstrates 3 Applications. I'm very happy to see more people producing something other than "textbook applications" within the KMA community:-)

Master Henrik produced another applications video. This time focusing on 3 applications for high section block :-) best part of the clip (my favorite) was when early in the clip he says what the technique is not meant for :-)
