Jodan Uke as a arm under pass
Hi All

Short clip on Jodan Uke as a arm clearing technique. Recently I had conversation with fellow Karate Ka about position of the elbows in close range.

I like to keep my elbows bit higher in order to quickly be able to clear the path and/ or intercept opponents arms. In a clip I explain why.

 Kind regards

Les

Thank you Les! Nicely done. The under pass is one of my favorites. As a former smaller heavyweight wrestler, I would often give up 3 to 7 inches and 40-100 pounds to my opponent. The underpass provides access to one of the spaces that a smaller guy Can take advantage of. Thanks again for sharing.

Thank Iain

TW Smith, exactly, as I'm a small guy who done wrestling this technique is just perfect. Usually I would finish it with suplex, but this time I had to be careful. Student with me on the clip is autistic with hearing aids. I'm very proud of him that he have volunteered to this clip :)

Kind regards

Les
