Pinan Sono Ichi Basic drill

Hi all,

So our new is dojo open, my students and I decided it would be great to record some training in new surroundings.

Clip below is a result of that session where we went through dissected flow drill for our Pinan Sono Ichi.

Camera used t record done some weird stuff with lighting so my apologies, but I think that over all new dojo looks and feels so much better then old one.

Hope you will enjoy this short clip

Kind regards

Les

Great stuff as always. I personally really like the close-range and the integrated use of the hands. Moving to whichever part of the kata is relevant is great too. I like it lots!

All the best,

Iain

It was good to see you Les! I enjoy all your videos. I did like the succinct move for move / kata and bunkai section at the end of this one. It was brilliantly done. I look forward to more!

All the best,

Iain

Great stuff. Is Pinan Sono Ichi the same as Heian Shodan?

Hi John, Mostly there are few changes in stances, but close enough. Below is our version.
