On Sunday the 24th of November I’ll be teaching an open seminar in Tilbury, Essex from 1pm - 5pm. The seminar will start a discussion on the history and nature of "karate grappling". We will then move onto cover basic "tegumi gripping" so students know how to control and manipulate the enemy. Next we will look at how those gripping skills can set up strikes, throws, locks, etc as found in the various kata The seminar will also cover "anti-grappling" from a self-defence perceptive so we learn how to escape and effectively keep ourselves safe from multiple enemies. Finally, I will show how all of the above can be practised in a lively, but safe, way which is inline with the writings and methodologies of the past masters.

The location of the seminar is The Gateway Academy, Marshfoot Road, Tilbury, Essex, RM16 4LU.
