Waza Weekend at Cal-South International Martial Arts Camp

Hello, everyone,

My Sensei, Richard Poage (Renshi, Godan), and I will be at the Cal-South International Martial Arts Camp in Winterhaven, CA in just three weeks! The camp runs from November 11th through the 13th, and Sensei will be teaching two sessions--one on kata bunkai, and one on adapting techniques from our yakusoku kumite drills to a self defense context. While the camp is intended primarily for members of the Shorinkan organization, it is open to martial artists from other styles, as well!

Tekki/Naichanchi Seminar, Rothwell Sports Centre, Leeds.

The seminar is on Sunday 20th November 2016 between 1130-1430hrs. The seminar shall be taught and conducted by Mark Bonner of Jiko Kaizen Koryu Karate.

The seminar will address the habitual acts of physical violence with individual application practices which are structured into 11 larger exercises which will allow the karateka to appreciate the organic nature of a violent physical confrontation.

Hello, everyone!

We are excited to announce two upcoming seminars, being taught by Richard Poage and Noah Legel. The first is an online seminar, conducted via Skype, covering chokes and neck manipulations from kata. The second is a series of in-person seminars that we are calling a "Waza Weekend," covering applications for all three Naihanchi kata, which is being hosted by Mires Martial Arts in the Oakland, CA area (Concord, to be more specific).

Rory Miller in Swindon - September 2016

Rory Miller will be teaching in Swindon on Sunday the 25th September. Rory will be covering some basic drilling, environmental fighting, groundwork and infighting.

If you haven’t experienced a Rory course before, this would be a good place to start, if you have, you know this will be fun, informative and downright awesome!

The course will run from 10am – 6pm at the Suju nightclub, Swindon and will cost only £60. Numbers are limited so please book your ticket as soon as possible.
